Expenses vary dramatically from one student to the next based on their particular needs and life style. Some students use their bikes and public transportation to get to and from school, work, and home. These same students may be very frugal spending less than $50 per month on themselves for personal items. Other students may find it necessary to suffer the increased cost of maintaining their own vehicles and may have a higher standard of living. We have found that a typical student will spend approximately $185 a month on personal expenses which include the cost of of some mode of local transportation. Non resident students usually have increased transportation expense due to trips home during the holiday breaks. You are the best person to determine your own costs. The amount that we have allowed in the cost of attendance is nothing more than a general student population standard.
